Built in 1987, The Knolls has a 24 hour security gatehouse and is situated in The North Shore School District #1.  You can reach The Knolls of Glen Head Co-ops by taking the Long Island Expressway to Exit 39N and continue past Northern Blvd for approximately 3 miles.  The Knolls is surrounded by street names called The Glen and The Circle, and no pets are permitted here.  There are upper and lower units, and some have a basement and some have a garage.  There is no board approval here, but to move into this Co-operative, the buyer must pay a $5,000 transfer fee.  According to public records, a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath co-op sold in November 2009 at The Knolls Of Glen Head for $700,000.
